We guarantee Value for Money, Quality and Service
Under our contract with the Ministry of Social Development, Te Whangai Trust has chosen not to compete against commercial nurseries. We sell only to ratepayer and taxpayer funded environmental projects, mainly through local councils, Environment Waikato, Auckland Regional Council, and to industries, farmers, schools and others planting for compliance or conservation on a not-for-profit basis. The only exception to this is when we occasionally sell plants to our local community – to build strong relationships and increase understanding and acceptance of the Te Whangai concept.
If you are a business which reports triple bottom line, purchasing your native plants from Te Whangai Trust contributes both to your social and environmental bottom lines. When you buy our plants, you receive a product in which has developed the skills of a worker that would have previously been paid by the government to stay home on a benefit.
Our business prides itself on quality, integrity, and service with all clients. Our sales and service philosophy is excellence. If we don't meet your expectations we ask you to tell us so we can rectify the situation.
To guarantee that our work is in line with our values and vision we have robust criteria set by us:
All our plants, shrubs and trees are eco-sourced and above industry standard. For the cost our plants are larger, healthier and have better established root. This significantly reduces plant losses, saving you money and time.
Our team are trained to plant correctly and get the job done right the first time. We also offer maintenance programs to make sure your plants establish and thrive.
We can offer advice with what plants work best for your project’s needs. We can help you plan for success.
Our seeds are ecosourced from the required areas by the team.
